On this beautiful, sunny day Tanya and I took a stroll through the city. Here are a few of the things we saw along the way. I will give a prize of a nice set of Russian nesting dolls ("matryshka") to the first person who leaves a comment and answers this question: What do each of the following photos have in common?
Big steeple of the Peter-Paul Cathedral
inside the Peter-Paul Fortress on the island
where St. Petersburg was founded in 1703.

Big steeple close up.
I try to include people in my photos
as often as possible.

Burial place of Czar Nicholas II (the last Russian
czar) and his family inside the Peter-Paul Cathedral
